I am in th medical field and I've had Fibromyalgia many year. I know I have to respect it and NOT try to deny that it is there. I have a new internal medicine doctor and she really wants me off my Fibromyalgia medications. I am 68 and I only take 5 medicines in all. I have Restless Legs, hypothyroid, hypertension and Fibromyalgia. With 1 for hypothyroidism, 1 for hypertension, one for Restless Legs, that leaves 2 mg (1/2 of a pill) for zanafles (a muscle relaxer) and 1 mg of Clonopin my cardiologists gave me for my Left Bundle Block in my heart, kind of like Mitral Prolapse. The pain of Fibromyalgia is extremely painful and it creates Insomnia. I am so tired from the pain and insomnia. I feel this is redicilious since I am a nurse and realize an occasional Lortab and 1/2 of an Ambien when I can't sleep is not abusing drugs. The pain can be almost unbearable at times. Plus, I have no help and a very ill husband. She is a new doctor and I hate to switch but I can see she is a woman a of very few words and gives me minute amount of her time. Plus, she is simply too with drawn and quiet for me. I know this is not good care and I don't trust her.
Blessings,
Bridget
