I just binge watched the show and I must say it was at once healing and cathartic. The "dramedy" did a great job of providing a dignified presentation of dementia without the usual saccharine laced proceedings. Highly recommended. Only 30 minutes each with 8 episodes, it's an easy binge. Hope they will offer a season 2 that can dive deeper into the disease to spread awareness.

Good show.

Just watched The Mole Agent. The documentary was more real, raw and depressing. Although it took place in one nursing home in Chile, there’s a thread of commonality throughout depicting symptoms and behaviors.

I loved it!!

I'll have to check out Wine, Women and Alzheimers.

Another couple of recommendations I have: "Elizabeth is Missing". It was on PBS a few years ago, about a woman slipping into alzheimers who is also trying to solve a mystery. An elderly woman I had phone conversations with during Covid thru a volunteer program called Mon Ami recommended it to me it was wonderful.

Also "The Thursday Murder Club" book series by Richard Osman. A group of seniors in a retirement community solve well.. murders. As they deal with their own declining health, their spouses dementia, the politics of retirement communities, their fraught familial relationships all the things. It's funny and sad and beautifully written.

I've seen 4 episodes so far , it's good.

Personally , and this is just a me thing but, I'm very sad to see Ted Danson look so old. I don't know why, other aging actors don't bother me. but it is a really good show.

Some mentioned it in discussions. I haven't yet watched it. I did some time ago see a documentary about the REAL guy who did this; so a true story. I look forward to seeing it.
Also mentioned below is Wine, Women and Alzheimer's if I recall the title. Find it on PBS online and I believe you can access it to watch.

I am self reporting here in hopes we can move this down to discussions.
