About Dove Care Services, Inc.

Dove Home Health provides our residents with respect, honor and love with meeting all their medical, physical and personal needs in our loving home. We are a wheelchair accessible facility serving a wide range of needs including stroke clients, clients with incontinence, memory loss and behavioral problems. We provide medical management by a professional nurse and all services that are needed to continue a high quality of life.

I almost became an employee, but walked away in the first week because I couldn't believe what I was seeing/hearing. Only two of the five beds were occupied at the time, and still, clients were wearing dirty clothing and not showered, (unless relatives were expected.) Food was prepared by the caregiver, who had no dietary training whatsoever. I'm guessing not even a Food Handler's Permit. Large batches (like casseroles) were served as leftovers until gone. When I started to ask the husband how long ago it had been prepared, he became defensive and shut down the conversation. Since the caregiver was tasked with watering literally A MILLION plants indoors and out, plus housekeeping, and cooking, there was no appreciable time left for the care of/attention toward people living there. The last straw for me was when the owner's own mother returned to her bedroom from the hospital (not a paying resident AND a conflict of interest), and caregiver was told to serve her first priority. The owner basically stayed in her bedroom most of the day and ordered employee around all day--at her beck and call. This is not a healthy work environment, thus not a healthy care environment. No accountability.

If you are considering Dove Care Services please ask about staff turnover and written proof of background checks. Ask if they provide a record of when vital signs are taken and when unused narcotics and medications are returned. Ask if the blue tarp preventing ceiling leaks is going be removed. Observe if there is real soap for handwashing. Ask if there is a TV or cable provided. Ask if you need to bring your own supplies.
