At Hometeam we specialize in short hour, periodic home care needs - no hourly minimums, no advance notice needed. In the New York metro area we can even be at the home within 60 minutes.

We're incredibly dedicated to quality and measure quality metrics and reviews after EVERY visit. Using this data, we are able to ensure that all of our caregivers are the top 10% in the area.

We're also unique in that we have online profiles and reviews available for all of our caregivers. We use this and a detailed matching process to ensure that each family is matched with the perfect caregiver for them. We realize that as a company we are matchmakers not a staffing organization.

My mother loved every member of Hometeam who cared for her. Laquan, Tynesha, and Samantha have come to feel like members of our family. When my mother broke her hip and came home last April, we knew the survival statistics. During the time that she received care from Hometeam, she had no UTIs, despite a history of frequent infections, and the ulcer that she developed in hospital healed with the attention she received. She was treated with respect and compassion. They were also very understanding with my father and were professional even when he was difficult (which hopefully didn't happen too often). As a result, mom lived beyond the twelve months that I thought she would, and died of an unrelated cause. We will now continue to their services for dad.

I recently switched to Hometeam. Unfortunately, the previous home care agency not only did not show, but would not even return my emails and texts. I then contacted Andrew with Hometeam. I was in contact with Andrew all weekend and everything was going wonderfully with him and my uncle. They ate together, they went out to the store, sat outside and chatted and even played a few games of checkers. I cannot tell you how happy I am for my uncle that he has finally gotten someone that will take care of him and interact with him in a much-needed way. I know Andrew is going to be very good for my uncle.

Is there any way to give them a NEGATIVE rating!? We started on 7/15 and there has not been ONE WEEKEND SINCE THEN where there has NOT been SERIOUS ISSUES! My step-father is paralyzed on the left side; meaning NO function (sight, hearing, mobility, etc.). He is 5'8" so we ask that the aide not be too short and that they bring a change of clothes due to his bedsore issues. These are the only two things we ask. Hometeam sent over 3 people to our apartment to "assess" the patient. During the 2 hours they were there, the nurse spent all her time talking to the aide we were trying to replace and NOT talking to or looking at the patient himself. From the beginning, we were sent an aide that made inappropriate remarks, aides that were coming off of 24 to 48-hour jobs so that they were too exhausted to come back after the first day of work. EVERY Sunday morning around 7am we'd get a call from Jovanna or Jose to tell us that the aide wasn't coming back. Every weekend. We ask them to send us someone, and we got no return calls. They leave their shifts and pass the issue to the next person. There is NO COMMUNICATION within the company. They don't answer the phones, not even for their aides that need help. They don't return phone calls. I also did find out that the first nurse had told the past aides that the "patient has 50 mobility on the right side and 25% mobility on the left side and is able to stand"?! They had a second nurse come to our place to reevaluate him and they still can

It has been a pleasure and a very easy experience working with Hometeam Care. Everyone is caring, respectful and patient. I have recommended them to some other families who will soon need care and will be inquiring if they are affiliated with any companies in NJ at my own home for another family member. They are a wonderful company to work with and feel like family.
