Find Care & Housing
As far as you say it can't be pain?

Actually I think it is not an impossiblilty, to be pain.

Mom was just telling me how she has to get up once a night because her feet burn , and she has to get up and get the blood moving again. Then go back to bed.

I have no clue, I'm just saying I wouldnt , exclude pain, but it could be night terrors or anything.

Call the doctor, and best of luck!

Please call Katies doctor right away and ask for medication to help the poor soul! I'm wondering how you know for sure it isn't pain, just bc it occurs at the same time every night? Get the doctor involved immediately and ask for help!

I would get a film with your cell phone and visit the doctor. I am thinking that medication may be needed. I know you will be aware, that while medication may help to calm her there is also the unwanted side effects of more frequent falls. I don't know if you have thought at all about how long you will be able to continue as 24/7 caretaker for your dear wife as she passes to stages where really she needs several shifts of caregivers to take care of her. I am so sorry. I would take with your doctor. In some cases a low dose anti depressant helps. But vascular dementias can be often very unpredictable and volatile at time.

Good luck. We wish you the best.
