I am in Alabama (Center Point) trying to find someone to cut my grass. I am disabled and just need a little help because my lawn mower has died on me.

We need a "rent a grandson" service these days, don't we? Mine lives states away, and anymore I hate ladders for the lightbulb thing, changing the battery in smoke alarms and etc.

I agree with others if you have a NextDoor thread on your computer for your area. Ours is great for these thing, and I even saw a Senior say she missed shopping at Trader Joe's, and had all sort of offers for a shopping trip. Faith based communities and any bulletin boards you might find might help as well.

All else not working try just a handmade sign taped on a pole nearby asking for help with some lawn chores and you may get a response. Sure do wish you good luck.

Call your Office of Aging. If u belong to a Church, maybe a member will help you. Teens are looking for Summer jobs.

Hi,
Like lealonnie wrote, you can go online and see if the 'Next Door' community can help you, but as always, be careful when you deal with people online.

https://nextdoor.com/city/center-point--al/

Go to the bottom of the home page and select the areas near you.
That will take you to a page where you can see comments from others in the area, and you can see if there's anyone nearby that can assist you. You may have to register at the site to post comments.

You are posting on a worldwide forum of caregivers for loved ones with questions and concerns they're seeking advice on.

I suggest you ask friends, loved ones and neighbors for help with your yard needs, or post something on the Next Door app in your neighborhood.

Good luck!
