My mom keeps telling me people are stealing, or attempting to steal. Yesterday, she tells me aide blatantly walked in, opened her drawers, took out a gown, and started to walk out.
And how she told her: you, put that right back, it’s not yours.
It amazes me how my mom comes up with this stuff in a conversation.... does she preplan it?
I don’t believe the above. But does anyone use a camera if you do suspect theft? Which one? How does it function to actually catch someone stealing, let’s say in the middle of the night?

You don't say in ur profile if Mom suffers from a Dementia? If she does, this could be an hallucination on her part. Just something in her mind has made up. But if no Dementia, thenn why would she make it up? Attention?
ALs are residences. Its the person's home and they pay lots to have their little room. I would see if Mom comes out with anything else. If she does and does not suffer from a Dementia I would then wonder. Its been said on this forum that aides have taken Depends from one resident to use on another. This is stealing because the resident pays for those Depends. Aide is just too lazy to walk to the supply closet to get a depends.
