I put Neosporin on it and a thin Kotex pad as the sore was bleeding profusely and it was painful for Mom any time I touched it.

Sorry to but in here, but I thought pressure sores formed over areas with underlying bone such as the hips, heels, coccyx etc. due to compression, wouldn't having one in fleshier areas like this be unusual?

The bedsore is bleeding profusely? Have you contacted her doctor? If no, then why? If something - no - anything - is bleeding profusely then it requires medical attention. Neosporin is not used to treat a bedsore. Has a doctor or wound care nurse actually evaluated this as a bedsore and not a cyst? Sometimes cysts can develop "down there" and bleed, hurt like a mother when it bursts.

Luckylu,
Is Medi-Honey the same as Manuku Honey, the one with healing properties?

I used Dermagram patches and Medi honey to doctor the bedsores "down there".I'd put alittle Medi honey on the wound and then cut a piece of the Dermagram patch and I made a bandage with paper tape on all 4 sides and applied it .I did this each time I changed her and it took awhile but it all finally healed and didn't come back.I'm sorry you are having this problem. It's no fun,I know.Take care~

Please take her to the doctor as soon as possible. This sounds dangerous. At least call her primary.
