Hi all,
I recently have come across the best fake check I've ever seen. Everything on it was legit. It was a real company, real bank, correct routing number, no spelling mistakes. Check was printed on normal looking check paper with security features.
The only noticeable issue was that the fractional bank number did not have the right format. It's a tiny little number usually on the top portion of the check.
I called the business listed on the fake check and they did not have record of the check number or the amount.
Mom doesn't believe me, but that's another issue.
What was the check paying for?
I'm only asking because I barely write checks anymore and wondering how you came into possession of the fake one.
Nothing should surprise us anymore, right? There’s a new scam every time we turn around.
