In the ALF my parents live there are no cameras. We were told that everyone who visited would have to sign consent forms giving permission to be taped, filmed what ever word you want to use. Even if you just visited once. It became a source of contention for some people. So there are none.

ck, as FF says, each facility has it's own rules. To add to that, each state has it's own rules as well.

One thing to remember, many states will not allow rules that violate or negate state law. So the state is the ultimate authority for what is allowed. One thing I have seen, facilities using the laws from corporate office state, my state law says the law where the service is delivered prevails, meaning the state the actual facility sits in, corporate doesn't matter.

ckrestaurant1, you would need to check with the facility, each one has different rules.

I would be careful about cameras in a patient's room. There have been cases where cameras are hacked and other people on the internet/social media can see what is going on.

FF, the hacking occurs because people DO NOT reset factory passwords.

If the end user creates a strong password the hackers can not get in.

Kinda sad that children have been traumatized because their parents didn't do this one easy step.
