Did Dad serve during wartime? If so, he maybe able to get Aid and Attendance for Mom. It varies how much she will receive. It may be enough for you to be paid. Dad can make an appt to see a VA rep in your County. The County seat should have a Dept for VA Affairs.
There is also Medicaid in home if parents fit the criteria. Office of Aging is a good start.
