My Aunt is in AL, she is in her spend down period now and wants to pay her cable bill ahead so she has it for a few months after she is on Medicaid. I can't get an answer, I've read that utilities can't be paid ahead b/c the services haven't been rendered, if that is the case, I would imagine it is the same with cable. Any info on this would be helpful. We are in Ohio

If she requires things like incontinence briefs, these can be bought in advance, or maybe a "hospital-style" bed and comfy mattress, a fall-alert system, things that address her health and safety... again you should check in with the county Medicaid to make certain.

I don’t know about the cable bill but in most states you can pre-pay funeral expenses. If she has not done that you need to look into it, it is well worth it.

Medicaid rules vary by state. You really do need to call a Medicaid Planner for your Aunt's state of residence and ask that question.
