My mother has received ample (10) caregivers from this one agency. This last one flirted with my son.. So, My mother has no caregiver. All of the caregivers have mistreated her by showing up late, not staying long enough, not doing their duties properly, stealing, mischievous ways were noticed, and some just crazy . My mother 85 will be released from the hospital tomorrow, and i need more help than i am getting from this particular company. They are unable to find a caregiver (so many out with covid). Therefore, i am looking for another company to get a caregiver from. Could you assist me, Please!

Hi Pat.
You might see if you can consult with a lawyer for free and from there see if they will take your case on contingency. Meaning they’d typically take 35 to 40 percent of whatever was won on your behalf.

You say your caregiving has gone on since 2013. Unconditional love or not, that’s almost a decade during which your health has suffered. It’s ok to turn this over to a home, even one that the government pays for if she cannot.

This is a link to the story of a senior with extensive behavioral as well as physical issues. The focus is on covid in 2020, but look further at the services this snf offered. Her care was actually very good if you read between the lines.

If all she has is money from the government, she should qualify for Medicaid LTC.

This is a chat forum of caregivers to elderly loved ones from all over the world you're posting on. You can go to Care.com and look for some caregivers online yourself, and choose one based on their profile. Or call around to some local agencies, or like MACinCT said, why not ask if your mother can go to rehab for 3 weeks in a Skilled Nursing Facility to regain her strength before she comes home? That would be your best bet, and give you time to find some caregivers to come into her home.

Or, on the right side of your screen on the top is a blue box that asks if you're looking for Assisted Living, Memory Care, Independent Living or Home Care. Check the Home Care box, punch in your zip code and hit See My Results.

Good luck!

her income is low SSD , and she is a hard person to deal with. She is sick physically and mentally. And, the mental part has left her a bad reputation on past places and she is turned down so easily. In my opinion the turn downs is due to her verbal (mouth) and I have been trying to raise her better, and my son, as well is assisting. Therefore, we have had no progress of her emotional improvement. Her mental diagnoses is Narcissist + the dementia, + the physical illness congested heart failure, diabetes, asthma, copd, and the h.b.p. issues that goes along with it all. I moved my mother in with me since 2013 not wanting her to go to a nursing home for this reason I am speaking on. My mother has always been an emotional {needy} person. I have been busy taking care of her EVERY need and then some. I lost my sister with a brain tumor 4/2008, and i lost my husband 10 days later in 5/2008 with colon cancer, and i lost my father 6/2011 with pancreas cancer. My mother and my son and myself, a very small family left. We have no, "O" family visitors. Lots of trauma/drama/crisis that has occurred through out my life that has left us poor,. not even talking about the grieving of our losses. My $ huge family inheritance was stolen by a -family member- and i desperately need a PROBONO ATTORNEY to retrieve what is mine. And I am needing an attorney A.S.A.P. The care giver company has been working for my mother hard, but i question that due to the amount of caregivers we have been through. What has happened to humble, honest, unconditional love? Thanks for your advice, but i have tried it all, and it is all down to $... so sad. My mother is still in the hospital about to be sent back here/home without no caregiver. I have to go back and be the one to fill this position, but my health full diabetes, and 100 lbs overweight, i lost 110 but this time im 16 years older. Blessings
to you.

Have you tried Karen the caregiver to your right, or a Place for Mom, which owns the site?

Yes, I have and she said they will get someone to call me. Lets see if this will really occur. My trust has been shot down low. no harm intended. thank you for your assistance... If i - myself could get someone to take me to my doctor's appointment and to the stores, but i have not checked into that because my mom need 150% attention.
