I don't need a caregiver yet, but my 94-yr-old mother lives in Deer Lodge in her own apartment. I stay with her now as much as I can, and she is still fairly independent. She has sight and hearing issues, and needs help with a few little things that she simply does herself or leaves undone when she's on her own. As she gets older and needs more help, I'll be with her more (I live in WI but am semi-retired and self-employed, so it works out fine). But I am looking for a caregiver to help out during those times I am not living with her, as she becomes less independent, so she can stay in her apartment. It is a small and lovely place that fits her needs perfectly.

Find Care & Housing
Dora, this website is information based, where AgingCare has excellent articles on all subject regarding aging, and as you found the caregiver's forum. AgingCare doesn't have a caregiving service.

Go to the upper right side of this page, you should see "Find Care & Housing" and click on "Home Care" and put in your Mom's zip code. Hopefully caregiving services will pop up. If not, call your county's council on Aging to see what suggestions they may have.

My Dad was able to budget for one shift of caregivers which worked out great. Eventually he then needed around the clock caregivers and that was a major sticker shock. He found that if he moved to Independent Living that could save him a lot of money. Again, it all depends on budgeting.
