My sisters keep calling APS on me about my mother. I live in TX and they live in New Jersey. APS has been to my house twice and this last time, I was out of town and my brother had to deal with them. He thought the APS agent was my mom nurse n let her in n she then identified herself n told her I wasn't home n to leave. She called the police and they came n made threats n said they could be there all day if they want. It was the same agent as before and she said she had gotten a new call about my mom. She then called my sisters who I have no relationship with an put my mom who she already knows has dementia on the phone n asked her if she wanted to move to NJ. She never investigated whatsoever. What can I do to get my sisters held accountable for false accusations n harrassment? How can I fight APS in Texas? Please help

I totally do not understand why some kind of retribution is not demanded of false reporters. They see no problem and matter dropped? Thats not right as it is nerve wracking to have no control over being judged. I was and found good report. Knew evil daughter wanted to cause trouble. She did, made me clean up hoyse better.

Although its important to have protective services it's bad when the system itself gets abused. I wish you luck and document! My neice was pulling this on her parents until finally she also accused the caseworker and the police and her doctor. It got their attention and her parents were finally believed.

Everything was recorded. I will have to do that ASAP.

I hope you're documenting all the APS activity. See an attorney (not necessarily an estate planner or elder abuse attorney, but more like an aggressive litigator). Hire her/him to represent you in dealing with the sisters, beginning with sending them cease and desist letters as well as raising the issue of slander and libel suits against them. Hopefully that will be a wake-up call for the sisters.
