The problem is mostly that she can't pull up her pull on diaper underwear. I think she can usually pull up her pants, but not always. PT is not an option as we've been that route and she hated it. There is a wall with a window directly to her left if she's standing at the toilet, I thought about having her just turn and lean against it so the wall can support her weight. Is that a bad idea? She often leans up against the sink when she's done so she can tie the drawstring on her pants. Is there anything else that could work? I thought about switching her to the tabbed diaper briefs (like baby diapers), but I don't know if she could figure those out. It could just make her worse mentally, I don't know.

Have you thought about putting a commode over the toilet. It gives her arms on each side.

My 71 y/o 300+ pound alzheimer, parkinson, lymphedema, diabetes, fatty liver, disabled arm roommate for 10 years developed a 24/7 8 to 15 pull-up diaper (Depend®) a day severe urine and fecal incontinence problem 3 years ago. She could NOT change her own diaper (can't reach past her knees) which left the task to me - a prolific inventor.

From dire necessity, I invented a simple $3 one piece device (solution) and haven't had to change her pull-ups in 3 years. It is now quick and easy for her to do it herself. There is nothing else on the internet made for this purpose.

If I can find enough demand for this device, I intend to have a non-profit disabled American manufacturer mass produce and market/sell/ship them.

Because I can not post make-one-yourself images/videos in these incontinence websites, I'm in the process of making my own Facebook site for this purpose. I haven't chosen a FB public site name yet but sure "incontinence" will be part of the name. Keep an eye out for it. Hang in there just a little longer!

My mother pulls the brief and her pants up as high as she can (about thigh high) while still sitting on the toilet and holding one hand to a grab bar for balance; then stands and holds to a grab bar with one hand while pulling up each side. She still has fairly good balance and can turn loose of the grab bar long enough to use both hands once she is standing but usually holds to the grab bar.

You might consider adding a grab bar under or over the window at just the right height for your mother to hold to or rest her weight like she does at the sink. I found with my mother that having a grab bar available in just the right place has been very enabling.
