Has anyone done respite care?

I was going to place Mom in respite at a AL not 5 min away. When I got there to ask questions I was told they were having a 50% off sale on room and board. It made the AL affordable for Mom. So I placed her. Best thing I did. She had more freedom there thanvat my house. They were very good to her.
