Hi all,

We have adjusted to my mom's peg tube following her spinal surgery (ACDF resulting in dysphagia.. She is working on that with speech therapist, daily swallow exercises ... It's been a rather depressing journey that hopefully will result in her being able to eat again eventually).

My question is and we will bring up with her doctor as well is every time we do a feed (400 ml per 4x per day) she gets the chills. So much that she gets under a blanket to warm up. The formula is not refrigerated, the peg tube site is not infected, no fever. We do the feed pretty slowly, a lot slower than in rehab bc we don't have other patients to rush off to!

Anyway was just wondering if anyone else's LO has experienced this.

I was a nurse for many years and never saw this. I would discuss with MD.
