My fiance is now cancer free but he has quite a few side effects from the treatment that he was taking. There are times he's very, very tired. I take him to his doctor's appointments, make sure I prepare all his meals, take him out on walks, etc. There are times his energy is very low and he sometimes experiences memory loss and issues with hearing.
\If you intended to ask how you can get paid for being your fiancé's caregiver...he pays you to do what you have been doing.
But this is kinda sorta what you have "signed up" for. this is part and parcel of caring for the person that you love. In some cases a spouse can get paid for caregiving but in most cases unless the spouse pays the other it is just part of marriage. (I realize you are not yet married but sorta the same)
My husband was successfully treated for his prostate cancer. It took a long time for him to regain his energy.
As far as meals go, my husband’s appetite was not up to par for quite awhile.
Give him time to recover. It takes awhile.
It looks like you are doing all that you can to keep him comfortable.

If you're asking how to get paid for being his caregiver, ask him to write you a check every month. Or, if he's on Medicaid, ask his caseworker or social worker about the possibility of getting paid by the govt to be a CNA for him, some people do that successfully, although it's not much of an income.
