A man fraudulently married a woman in order to take possession of real estate (a house). That is, the woman did not know that the marriage certificate was fake. About six years after living together, she found out that her husband had a mistress in the country where he was from. When the wife caught her husband at night in the living room talking on messenger, the wife burst into their conversation and asked that woman to leave her husband alone since she felt she had a health problem and needed her husband's help. The woman made fun of her, and the husband smiled and told her (the wife) to go to bed. She felt bad. Dementia was progressing. The husband told her very harshly, let's go name the company, and include my name in the house document. (DID). She said no. I'll call my son first. Her "husband" said; if you do this, you will die together with your son. She did what he demanded. Very soon she lost her speech and mind. He took her away, took her to a country (Romania) to his mistress, to a rival. That woman tortured her for one year and four months. There is a video evidence. There were people, neighbors, who called the police. They came and took her to the hospital. In the end, they found the son here in South Carolina and the son flew and brought his mother home. We were looking for a nurse, they found me and my wife. They brought her to us, she weighed 35 kilograms. On August 13th, she had been living with us for one year and we are her "saviors." She recovered and gained weight (21 kilograms). No one pays us for round-the-clock work. The monster there living in this woman's house and boasts that before the New Year, he will bring his beloved (since they are already engaged). I, in a short letter, explained the story to this woman. I have verifiable evidence of what I accuse this man of. I ask everyone who knows the law of South Carolina to help restore justice in relation to this unfortunate woman. I can't find a lawyer to unravel this terrible story. Everyone wants money, but there must be some kind of agreement that the lawyer can get a fee from the defendant. After all, this woman has no income, she only gets $829 from Social Security.

Find Care & Housing
irimesku, may I ask, how does one take a person who has late stage dementia on a plane to a foreign country? And have the girlfriend be the wife's caregiver for over a year?

Plus, when one marries a person who already has a house, it does NOT automatically goes to the new spouse.

Sorry, none of this make sense.

You say, "yes, but who should a TV writer turn to for help?"
Certainly not a bunch of tired, stressed out, burned out caregivers on a forum who are too busy to be giving TV writers fodder for the mill, for petesake!

This is a very sad situation. But it is one in which YOU have NO legal standing. Meaning you have no rights to act on the abused's behalf. Only her son would have that right/privilege/duty.

You tell us:
"They came and took her to the hospital. In the end, they found the son here in South Carolina and the son flew and brought his mother home. "

I will tell you honesty that this is now the son's business to follow up on, and I don't think he has a tinker's chance in Hades of getting anywhere. This is a situation of abuse that crossed country boarders. It is a "he said-she said" situation in which the abusers will claim that the woman willingly left this country and came with them, and then became ill." There won't be any way to prove anything.

I don't know what relationship you have with this family. You say you were brought in to give care. That doesn't mean you really have legal standing. You state you are a social worker, but if so you should already be privy to all I am telling you.
Only the woman herself, and perhaps her son have legal standing.
There is likely no way to legally address this. Attorneys recently charged about 400.00 an hour. Now that is up to 700.00 an hour. So unless someone in this awful story is a millionaire, they are out of luck, and no attorney would take a case hoping he can make the perpetrators pay.

I am afraid you are out of luck. You have been searching for a way in the legal world to address this and I know I am not the first one to tell you that there is no way to "fix this". In all truth, so many mistakes in life just are not "fixable" and this is certainly one. I am so sorry for all that occurred.

Leave this to the son and hope for the best.

This is your second post. Why would anyone take care of person, that seems to be a former stranger, and not be compensated in some way. And because you are no relation, you cannot bring charges against this man. The son will need to do that and strange he just drops his Mom off to strangers and pays nothing towards her care.

Contact the FBI for Elder abuse and Fraud - Have Paperwork and documents and recordings go to www.ic3.gov and make a complaint . Her son should be the One Handling the Matter .

You want a defendant to pay for a lawyer to sue them?

Good luck with that.

Are you a nurse? A social worker?

Maybe a drama TV writer? Seems you stepped deep into someone else's family drama here.
