Delvin, the vast majority of grown children who are caregivers for their parent do not get paid.... unless one's parent can pay you from their own pocket. If that is something your parent could do, then you would need to draw up an employment agreement.

Otherwise, you could check with your State Medicaid office [this is different than Medicare]. Each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs. Some State do offer a salary, but note the salary would be very minimal.

Whatever you do, do not quit your job. You will be losing more than just your salary.
