I think start with the primary care doc first. I did that, as I didn't know where to start. I made a list of behaviors that was bothering me or I felt unsafe for both of us. My list helped the doctor. Skilled nursing is for when you have a condition, surgery, or something that you need care to get better. Memory care and assisted living you will find more healthy people, but memory loss and different or difficult behavior. Talk with the doctor, even if you have to make a private appointment with him/her without your spouse if you have to. I hope this helps.

You can't get skilled nursing in a MC facility, your LO would have to go to a SNF. Have him evaluated by a physician.

A needs assessment by a professional is what would determine what facility is required.
