How do you get an aging parent with dementia to a specialist doctor? Fibs etc won’t work since she already refuses to leave the house.

She needs to go to a specialist for another condition to check on it but refuses to go. I was thinking of calling ambulance to take her to hospital to check her out since she won’t leave otherwise voluntarily. But even then I am afraid she may not cooperate if they arrive. Has anyone experienced this and how did you handle it? A general doc makes house calls but what about specialists? Cardiologists? Gynecologists etc?
