Parent currently on community based Medicaid due to transition to assisted living. If parent transitions to a nursing home, is the 5 year look back period from the time of the original Medicaid application or application to nursing home?
I actually found the answer to this post under Care Topics: Each state’s Medicaid program uses slightly different eligibility guidelines, but most examine all a person’s financial transactions dating back five years (60 months) from the date of their qualifying application for long-term care benefits.
