My sister is having trouble accepting that our big, strong daddy is no longer our big, strong daddy. She has a lot of anger inside, and has no patience when dealing with him. I am hoping there is a helpful book she (we) can read.
I suggest you read this 33 page booklet to learn all about dementia. Lots of Do's and Don't tips for dealing with dementia sufferers are suggested in the booklet.

Teepa Snow Is doing a ZOOM Class thru the Alzheimers association in Brewster , Ma. anyone can sign up for free . I forget the date - I did it Last year and it was a good class . She should Join that Class . She should get educated - there are support groups On FaceBook . This Forum is remarkably helpful . No One can automatically wrap their head around the fact that the person they Love their brain Is dying .
The very first book I read after my late husband was diagnosed with vascular dementia was The 36 Hour Day by Nancy L Mace and Peter V. Rabins. That is a great place to start. Teepa Snow(a dementia expert)also has many great books and videos on YouTube that are very helpful as well. Education is key with this horrible disease of dementia, so good for you to want to educate your family members about it as that will help everyone as they take this journey with your dad.

I will suggest that you also look at listening to podcasts on caregiving. There are tons of great podcasts on this topic.
Do a search. I believe I even saw a list of podcasts related to caregiving listed somewhere on the AgingCare website.
You could also do a YouTube search on caregiving.
