My Dad is legally blind and my Mom has early stage Dementia. When my Mom becomes confused my Dad likes to call my sister who lives across the street but since his eyesight is limited, it's tough for him to dial the phone and I'm not aware of a user-friendly voice-activated home phone. My siblings and I were thinking about a Medical Alert System that once he pushes the button, it would dial my sister directly rather than 911. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
You could use the system this way: dad trips the button; system operator answers; dad tells operator to call your sister and ask her to call your dad per his request.
