She can't keep anything down because the good bacteria in her stomach has been demolished from the meds. NOW, she is on another antibiotic to get rid of the CDIFF. Her dementia isn't even our biggest concern, it's now CDIFF that makes her unable to keep food down with constant diarrhea. She is so weak and at constant risk of falling because she refuses to use a wheelchair or walker. If it's not one thing, it's another. Has anyone else had this issue??
Didn't realize your mom was on hospice ?
Would the smaller residential home have a hospice waiver ?
I'm thinking of going from Big memory care to something smaller too but am afraid there's no nurse to dispense her meds in one
Let us know how things go especially if you move her
Based on my experience - memory care is no care and is very expensive to boot
