With a no contact following his arrest, his attorney managed to have me arrested and my mother placed somewhere and won’t tell anyone. My son has power of attorney but their attorney won’t provide him with a copy. How do we find out where my mom is, keep my dad safe, and get the attorney and her assistants claws out of him? I believe the assistant may be staying with my dad…
If your father's POA was done legally as in a lawyer's office, your son can go to that lawfirm, show identification, and get a legal copy of the POA himself. The lawyer might charge something for an official copy, but they won't deny him.
Your parents had to be separated. This is what happens with domestic violence cases. The abuser usually vacates the home though. Why is your grandfather with dementia still home? Why isn't he in a memory care facility?
Does your mother have dementia? If she doesn't then she is free to call you or to leave wherever she's been placed. Who has her POA?
You and your son need a lawyer.
