When I read the profile and saw that dad is living in Assisted Living I "assumed" that the "drug addicted sister" was/is living in the house that dad previously occupied. If this is incorrect Kalh58 let us know. As others have said more information is better. Much easier to get a more detailed, accurate response from some VERY wise members.
Hi, Get in touch with the department of aging, let them know what's going on and let them take it from there. You could also get a restraining order to keep her away from your father. What she is doing falls under the catagory of ABUSE! ALSO get some help for your sister. Praying for your family.

The thread isn't on point, but it is similar. You might want to read that thread, and if you still have questions, post here, but it would help immensely as well as show courtesy and respect to respond to the other posters who took the time to study your situation and offer suggestions.

You have posted before but gave no response to questions asked. We can answer a lot better if you give us more info. In your profile you say Dad is in a independent living?
Do you mean by independent living a place for 55 and up. Is sister on the lease as a Caregiver? If not on the lease, did she just move in? Usually, places like this only allow the person/s on the lease to live there. So u may be able to talk to the landlord or property manager to have her evicted.
On ur profile u say Dad has had problems with a woman trying to get his money. Is Dad showing signs of Dementia? If so, Independent living is not where he should be. He should be in an Assist. Living if he can afford it or a Long-term care facility with Medicaid paying.
You have to file for eviction. This can be a long process. But if funds from the sale of the house are needed to help pay for his care it might be rushed but there are still timelines that have to be followed.
Is your dad competent to appear in court or is he physically able to appear in court? If not you may have to get a lawyer to represent him.
