Hi Shirley, if I remember correctly your husband is home from rehab for foot surgery, right? So for others on this site to give you guidance, we need to understand the context. Your husband, as far as we know from your other posts, needs temporary 24/7 assistance because you are not able to fully help him, correct?
Since we don't have any insight of your financial resources it would be difficult to really make a decision for you. You say you "...cannot afford the expensive agency" what do you mean by that? Are you close to running out of money? Is your husband progressing in his PT?
If you know who your financial advisor is, or your accountant, this is who I would talk to about planning to pay for his care now and in the near future.
