If it isn't troubling her I'd go light on the medication, I'll never forget my poor mom's dry mouth during her final days. Some barrier cream can protect her face from becoming irritated.

Is she on Hospice?
There are medications that can help dry up secretions. (Hospice prescribed Atropine for my Husband and it did help)
A mouth swab can also help.
But positioning on the side does help a lot and it is a good idea to re-position every 2 hours anyway. So moving from the right to the left side is a good plan.
