When my late husband was under hospice care in our home and in a hospital bed in our living room, I had a camera on the mantel so I could check on him over night if need be without me having to get out of bed, or when I was out and about. I was always here though when the hospice nurse or the aides came, so never felt the need to turn that camera on, so not sure why you're wanting or needing a camera unless your mom is left alone for long periods, and you want to know exactly what is going on. Bottom line it is your house and you can have cameras wherever you so choose.
It depends on the state. Our governor passed a law stating that cameras are allowed in nursing homes. There are stipulations. If a family chooses to install a camera, they are only allowed to film their family member’s resident in the facility. It cannot be used for other roommates.
I don’t see why you couldn’t use a camera in your own home. There have been some posters that have said they use cameras in their home. Maybe some of these posters will be able to address your concerns.
Why would you not be able to install a camera in your own home??? What are you trying to capture on film? Stealing? Over medicating? If she's at home, then family members are dispensing meds. CNAs come in to help with bathing. Why so concerned that you feel cameras are necessary?
