Moved my mom to NH in same town I live in and they required me to pay for her room and care for the rest of the month. It came out to $167.20 and then I read on a government website that families do not pay for moving loved one because Medicaid reimburses NH for new residents. Should I request my money back?
You should have a meeting with the facility and her Meficaid social worker so you understand how all of this works, because there will be a bill every month that Medicaid doesn't cover.
