Mom just got a walker. I put her name on it but wanted to personalize it a little more than that. I was thinking of making a little bag that has her name embroidered on it but that could also hold just a few things (pen, puzzle book, maybe an ID and a hanky?)
However, I realize I should be careful not to make it too heavy. In fact, the walker is just for her balance - she is strong-enough to walk. So, I don't want to make the walker too heavy on one side over the other.
I'm not much of a sewer, but figured I could handle making something that is simple - that snaps-on, with a little pocket or two.
Does anyone have any advice on this?
A little off-topic, but when we picked-up her walker, we happened to be sitting next to a display for canes - where there was just about any accessory you could imagine. I plan to look into some accessories for the walker. One big issue I can see is using it on the ice. Mom's bringing it to PT, tomorrow, so we can ask there, too.
