The problem, I have is when she falls I cannot pick her up. I pulled the tendons in both shoulders picking her up. Are their ways to pick a person up? I also can't get a person to help all the time.

This question put a smile on my face. I remembered all the times my husband fell, and I couldn't pick him up. He was a gymnast in his younger years and very very srong, but he still could not pick himself up. I had to call 911, and the firemen came out to the house and had him up in seconds.....no problem. " Don't hesitate to call us whenever you need to" was their answer. I was not embarrassed after that at all.

For those situations when my mom (a good sized woman 200lbs) would loose her balance and fall - I found that if you can find a second person to help is ideal. Have the fallen person sit on their behind and bend their knees and place their feet flat on the floor; both helpers squat down on either side, wrap their arms around or under the arm; and all together you stand tall. The fallen person is now standing and if you have a chair close by, all three step together and help them sit down. My mom has no strength and balance and with the help of my petite 100 pound neighbor we have done this very smoothly. As of yet, no legal action...good luck!

No!!! You should not touch them, call 911. You might hurt them more or could be liable.
