I have a family member who has been sharing caregiving responsibilities for her mother in the very advanced stages of Parkinson's such that she is now not able to swallow very well, is completely bedridden, and can do absolutely nothing for herself. Her siblings, who have power of attorney and custodianship, refuse to acknowledge that the care their mother is receiving at home is inadequate. Their mother is suffering severely from bed sores and infections. I am told the monitoring nurse can take this authority away from them and make the decision to have her admitted to a nursing home. She lives in Jamestown, TN, and the last nurse that came by did so nearly two years ago. Is there any way I can bring this to the attention of the proper parties for a current evaluation?
