I wish we had that problem. Mother thinks a magic genie is going to fix whatever and it takes months to get her to allow us to repair anything or call for a professional. This drives me crazy. Her kitchen light fixture was out for 8 months and she threw a fit each and everytime someone tried to replace it. Never in the mood to be bothered or she only wants a certain person to do the repairs and they have been retired for years.

Well who wouldn't want everything done NOW?? Of course we do, but it's not practical so we have to wait. But when you're a little kid or an old person who has gone back to acting like a little kid, then there's a problem. It doesn't seem that long ago that I had to restrain my son because he wanted something, and he wanted it NOW! Oh my gosh who doesn't remember that? What did we all do then? We put up with it somehow, but then we were all much younger. ♥

Same here. I can mention a house repair that hasn't been done in 40 years. Then my mother wants it done yesterday. She is always in a hurry for me to get things done. Now she is on me because I haven't filed taxes yet. I haven't gotten in all the 1099s. She told me Dad always got them done in early January. I don't know how, since he didn't have the booklets or W2s at that time. Yesterday she called my brother to help me with the income taxes, because she figured I was having trouble. I think this is all part of her generalized anxiety disorder. I try not to let it make me feel too pushed. The trouble is that many times she will call someone to do something that she feels I haven't started soon enough. She doesn't have a good grasp on time and doesn't like things hanging over her head. Plus she does not trust the competency of females.
