She lives on her own I am only seeing her once a week, But I found out she is not eating because she does not know how to shop, or cook. I need to set her up with a simple menu to fallow, and simple food to fix. Because of money issues she can not go to a care facility. I am trying to make it simple for her, any advice would help? She dose not have dementia, but is develop delayed.

As Pam said, money is not an issue. Contact your county's Senior Services Dept or whatever it's called in your area. They will speak with her and either set her up with services that work for her or work to get her placed.

Because she'll have to eat before all this gets done, though, some ideas: hardboiled eggs; low-salt soups; cheese sandwiches (grilled if she can cook). We have a non-refrigerated waffle product that heats in the toaster in Chicago area. Tasty. Just toast and add syrup. Buy a rotisserie chicken from your food store's deli department; cut it up for her and pre-package in Ziplocks. Eat at room temperature or heat in microwave. Sara Lee frozen Italian entre's. Healthy Choice frozen dinners, microwavable. Just some ideas for you...the REAL answer is as Pam suggests.

My sister is delayed and lives in a group home, where she is quite happy. Please contact your county office for the disabled and get her into a better situation. Money is not an issue, she should be Medicare/Medicaid eligible.
