Can you provide a little more information? Not all people who take anti-depressant medicine have dementia, your mom need to see a doctor so she can go through a series of tests including cognitive test, she also needs to go under MRI scanning, it is difficult to diagnose a person with dementia and determine which type it is just because she is taking anti-depressant meds.

You can also check alz.org and freeltcquotes.com for discussion about long-term care dementia, its symptoms, diagnosis and management.

Depression does not mean dementia. Many people with dementia get an antidepressant. How do you expect an answer by providing such little information to go on? Who said dementia was a diagnosis anyhow?
