Find Care & Housing
https://www.agingcare.com/articles/common-caregiving-abbreviations-and-acronyms-435589.htm

There are so many types of abbreviations! Medical eg total hip replacement (THR), Physio Assistance of 1 person (Ax1), OT activities of daily living (ADLs) & social father-in-law (FIL).

Now if you txt a teen or 20something you may find an even weirder world - I can't understand much of that!

Except LOL 😜

I wish people wouldn't use all those acronyms without having written them out at least once in the course of their response.

Example: My mother lived in Memory Care (MC), and while she was in MC she was rolling on the floor laughing (ROFL) while her doctor (GP) and the caregivers' (CG) watched her. Later the GP and the CGs at the MC told me about it.
