You have POA? Then your brother did not have the power he had unless he got guardianship. You could bring charges against him but might need a lawyer. If he had POA, then if Mom is not able to make decisions he now has the power. If Mom has lice, you need to call the state to investigate.

I don't quite understand your post, Maggie. But I think I get that your mother is on hospice in a nursing home you find below-standard. Your brother made this decision, even though you took care of Mother for 10 years. Is that correct?

I am so very sorry you are in this situation of having your mother near end-of-life and also feeling abused/betrayed by your brother. This is a very emotional time for you.

What would you like our help with?

Maggie--
Take a deep breath and re-read your post. It doesn't make a lot of sense, and people will not be able to help you if we don't understand what is going on.

If English is not your first language, can you find a friend or someone to help you sort through your thoughts and state them in an organized fashion.

I am not judging you at all--I just don't understand the situation enough to begin to offer advice.
