Find Care & Housing
Is it for you? My mother’s ALF provides transportation to drs BUT someone like a family member has to go along or meet her there.
In my area there is a bus service for seniors ( I think that’s on a sliding scale) and Uber ( I think) and Lyft also provide a Go go grandma service. My husband drives for Lyft and you have to meet qualifications to drive for seniors such as an excellent rating etc. I’m not sure if the rate is less for senior or not.

Medicaid should have a shuttle that picks up people and takes them to their appointments. If you have public transportation in your area, then there maybe a ADA/Elderly person bus to take those to appointments. There is usually a very low charge with this (public transportation) service.

Definitely check your local transit. When I did this for my brother in Palm Springs I found out they have a SunBus that comes within an hour of being called, is nearly fee, you can have someone else ride with you if needed. I would have had utterly no idea of this service had I not checked. I filled out forms at local center and got tickets there for ridges. Badge needed and doctor letter. So check with your local transit if you have one in your town.

are you on Medicaid? Your profile says you are in Las Vegas. If you are on Medicaid then you might be eligible for NEMT (Nevada non-emergency medical transport). they arrange transportation for people on Medicaid who have no other way to get to their doctors appointments. You can also call 211 & they can find you a rideshare program.

Vegas has a lot of options for non emergency medical transport, so if you aren’t on Medicaid, you can do a google search for Las Vegas non emergency medical transportation.

Here in Manatee County there is a bus that you can have come and pick you up and bring you back home. You have to go there in person and sign up so they can see that due to health or dementia that you qualify. I think it is like $12.00 each way.

Senior bus is a great suggestion. Not all counties in FL offer it, as I found out the hard way. Medical van transport, Visiting Angels companion are options (especially if LO has cognitive issues or physical challenges) but I would not have your LO go unaccompanied if at all possible. No Uber or Lyft.
