In our local paper today, I saw that a skilled nursing facility is offering a six week course free of charge on dealing with aging, focusing on dementia. Unfortunately the classes are from 11AM until noon and I’m at work so can’t take advantage of them. But, you might want to try calling around your local facilities to see if they offer any classes.

Contact:
Local Senior Center, they usually will have listings of support groups.
Whatever the "condition" is will have an Association that will have sponsored support groups. Alzheimer's Association would know where their sponsored support groups are, the Parkinson's Association would know where their meetings would be, American Cancer Society would know theirs.
Many churches or other houses of worship might also have support groups. (They may not be affiliated with the church they might just have the meetings there.)
The Alzheimer's Association has meetings but they also have educational workshops that are GREAT and I am sure other Organizations do as well. Again contact the particular group and ask.
And some groups cross over..If a person has been diagnosed with Parkinson's there is often a dementia that goes along so either group or both would be a good choice.

Have you tried to google it? That's a fairly large area so hopefully something might come up.
