Put them in in the morning and take them out at night, and store them in the medical drawer. My Mom, who was mentally OK when she checked into the center (which is a dementia and Alzheimer's facility) in November (its April now) has developed some weird mental issues, not diagnosed yet. She hides the hearing aids from the staff. Last, she apparently put them in her robe which they found after washing and drying the robe, and also the hearing aids. They are under warranty so it will cost $1250 to replace them (plus the $5000 I pay in cash). Who should pay the replacement cost? My Mom or the Assisted Living Center? Isn't the ALC responsible for not checking the robe's pockets?
I purchased insurance when we got them & replaced them once as I know my mother must have thrown them out in a tissue probably in her robe pocket.
If she had lost them again, I am not sure I would replace them as she hated to use them anyway.
