I take care of my grandmother full time. I also take care of the house so I'm not always in the same room with her. What is the best way to hear her when I'm in another room or outside? She is very independent and doesn't like asking for help. So she won't yell for me or call my phone she will simply just wait till she sees me pass by. My fear is she is going to fall and I won't hear it. She has had many strokes and both heart and lung doctors say she would not survive another surgery. So we are doing our best as we wait.
I don't want her to feel like I don't trust her I just want to be able to hear when out of the room. I thought baby monitors but I fear it will upset her. Any advice???
I often babysat for my daughter and all I was doing was reading in the LR and watching the baby monitor. (Never actually 'saw' the baby. If you opened her bedroom door she'd wake up...so the monitor allowed mom & dad a night out and didn't stress me one bit. A breastfed baby who will NOT take a bottle is not a fun thing to experience! But she'd sleep through the night if not awakened). There was no sound on the baby's end.
