Can a UTI kill you? During the time I went abroad for a social dating tour, I seemed to have symptoms of UTI. It would start to burn when I pee and my genitals would start to hurt from time to time. I’ve done some research on the effects and cures but since mine just comes and goes, I decided not to get it checked. It’s been four months now and the burning sensation has not yet subsided. It still comes and goes even if I’ve been on water therapy. Is it because of what I ate or drank during my trip abroad? If so, could it be something else other than UTI causing these symptoms? Should I even get it checked?
Go to the doctor.
YES, please see your Doctor ASAP! Your symptoms could be caused by a numbers of things: it could be a UTI; it could be a STD (you can get a sexually transmitted disease from certain "social dating tour" activities or contaminated water you swim or bathe in); it could be an allergic or chemical reaction to something you came into contact with or something you ate or drank while abroad, or ??? who knows what. Only your doctor can correctly or accurately determine what the cause is and treat it appropriately.
What do you mean by "water therapy"? If you mean that you are taking baths in a tub (which you have added substances such Epsom salts or other "healing medications" to) or that you are getting into a hot tub as "water therapy" then you could be making your problem worse not better each time you get into a tub of water. Also, if the cause of your symptoms is contagious, then you could be spreading the infection or whatever to other people. So STOP taking the "water therapy" especially if it is a tub bath and please see your doctor as soon as you can.
Why *wouldn't* it be a good idea to get yourself checked?
I'm sorry to read about your symptoms. It could definitely be more than a UTI. It is best to see a doctor and get more tests done. I personally hate seeing the doctor but its best to be honest and tell them your symptoms fully so they can request the right test and meds to try. I hope you feel better soon.
Either way, it should be looked at by professional, Worried.
