This may be a strange question but my husband is currently being tested for dementia. Lately he has become so sensitive to anything with a scent to it. He has always been sensitive to certain detergents, lotions, etc. but lately he is complaining about the lotion I use (which I have changed to a fragrance free one). Now its my face wash which I have been using for years. I will look for a different one if it is bothering him but I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar situation.

My mother has some sensation perversions at times. Things she has used or eaten for years may not smell or taste the same anymore. She'll say that she knows the formula changed "last year" even when it didn't as far as I know. It can almost be like a game to get me going to stores to try to find a new something that works for her. Nine times out of 10, after jumping through all the hoops trying to find something she likes, she'll settle back on the original. Go figure! I don't know what causes it. It is usually things like lotion or snack foods. Drives me nuts.
