Depends use. Pottasium Defficiency had me in Hospital and rehab til Aug 25,2018, now in apartment. Getting anywhere and not having an accident is hard. Dr. has me on strong anti diarrhea meds... help, but still happens. No idea when it will happen, eat Pottasium foods to help also. 70 in Sept. No family or help near me. Apartment living now. Ok, but hard to get out and get things. Once or so a month Medicaid pays for Dr Visit trips and drug store visits.

So... We want:

1. Further investigation of the cause of your chronic diarrhoea, which is not adequately controlled by powerful "stoppers."

2. Assistance with the cost of continence aids.

3. Reliable home delivery of same.

1. Is up to your doctor. What medical tests/investigations have been done?

2. and 3. - have you asked your Medicaid office about this, specifically? They may be able to advise, or at least suggest where else you might find help.

Medicaid provides many services, JTW70. Contact your caseworker for assistance with your annual recertification. That is your responsibility to complete the process. My brother lived in Section 8 housing and was required to complete recert every July. Yes it is cumbersome but your county dept of aging or your caseworker can assist. Keep all your receipts together in one place all year so when needed they are available.

Ask your caseworker to assist with applying for senior/medical transport to MD appts.

Good luck to you.

I have read both your posts. Really sorry for all ur problems but seems ur alone in this. All we can do is give u suggestions. We live all over the country and share our caregiving experiences.

Like said, Medicaid has other services besides healthcare. They have homecare and transportation. They may cover ur Depends. You need to talk to ur caseworker.

You can find a food store that does home delivery. If you run short monthly, there are food closets.

Office of Aging usually has vans and may help with an aid. They can help u find resources.

APS should also be able to help.

Health department may help with the bedbugs.

Your health issues need to be handled by ur doctors. You should be taking potassium pills. Your problems can be caused by meds. Foods u eat. Maybe a probiotic would help. Don't drink coffee or juices like Apple.
