Overnight care is called respite care and there are also day programs. In addition to county social services you can also call the largest mental health provider in your community. Does the person you care for work with a mental health provider? They can usually connect you with social services.

Here's a resource that may help lead you in the right direction - NAMI, the national alliance for the mentally ill. I hope this helps.

Yes, there is something called respite care in New Jersey. Names vary in different states, you could Google search or look in your local phone book. Good luck:)

NAMI is a good resource. Respite care and psychosocial clubhouse are other options I hope you have in your area. Repiste can be overnight. Psychosocial clubhouse is a day program.
