Does anyone know the rules about selling the house before being enrolled in Medicaid?

Your best bet would be to call the local Medicaid office in your state and inquire.

I agree call your local office.
Basically though, it has to sell for market value or there could be a penalty. The proceeds will have to be set aside and only used for her personally. None of the money can be given away.
